Best Western Hotel receives recognition

BEST WESTERN WESTERLY HOTEL RECOGNIZED AS
PUBLIC RELATIONS CHAMPION AT HOTEL CHAIN’S
ANNUAL NORTH AMERICAN CONVENTION

Courtenay –November 4, 2008  The Best Western, Westerly Hotel in Courtenay  was named Public Relations Champion at Best Western International’s annual North American Convention held recently in Honolulu, Hawaii.  Andrea Wagemaker was presented with the award in front of more than 2,000 industry peers.

The select honor is bestowed upon those Member properties whose outstanding communications strategy and creativity in local hotel public relations and /or community relations have been deemed exceptional by an independent panel of judges from Allison and Partners Public Relations.  The hotels must also meet design and customer care standards, as well as other membership requirements, to qualify.

The Best Western, Westerly Hotel was one of only seven hotels out of more than 2,400 properties in the U.S. and Canada to receive this elite designation.

“The Best Western Champion Awards recognize those Best Western hotels that truly demonstrate exceptional levels of service, quality and value,” said Dave Francis, chairman of Best Western’s Board of Directors. “The Best Western, Westerly Hotel has an outstanding public relations strategy and we’re proud to recognize them for their achievements.”

Located at 1590 Cliffe Ave, Courtenay - The Best Western Westerly Hotel  features 108 rooms with 36 new rooms currently under construction.
