Dianne Hawkins, President & CEO

Dianne Hawkins has been at the head of the Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce since 2004. Her leadership and dedication to this organization in particular, and to the business community in general, have been extraordinary. Amongst her many accomplishments, Dianne’s efforts (with the support of her staff) have resulted in Chamber membership increasing almost 50 per cent, growing from under 500 to more than 725. We are proud to say that results like this earned our Chamber the 2010 BC Chamber of the Year Award!

Dianne’s vision and management skills have also enabled the Chamber to become “the voice of business in the Comox Valley.” Our Chamber is a strong, well-respected and proactive organization that effectively advocates to all levels of government on issues relevant to the local business community.

Dianne was born and raised in the Comox Valley and is truly an "Islander" at heart. She is also a successful business woman, with 25+ years experience working in both the public and private sectors. With the exception of a 10-year period when she lived in Victoria, Dianne has worked in the Comox Valley for her entire career. She says that being part of the business community here is “a terrific experience” and that she “thoroughly enjoys the opportunities and challenges of managing the Chamber and being an integral part of this community.”
