Nominations are NOW OPEN for the 2023 Chamber Awards!

Nominations for the 2023 Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce Awards are now open for a seven-week period from Monday, September 25 to Friday, November 10, 2023. The online nomination form can be accessed via our main website.

Starting in 1974, the Chamber Awards​ has recognized the accomplishments of businesses, organizations, and individuals who have contributed greatly to make the Comox Valley an amazing community.

Award categories have been added and retired, expanded, and revisited but the Chamber Awards have always been about excellence and service. There are 15 categories to nominate in and 16 Awards in total including Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, New Business of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, #yourock Youth Award, Family First Award, Land of Plenty Award, Diversity and Inclusion Award, Sustainability Award, Not For Profit Organization, Customer Service, Heritage Recognition, Business Leadership, Lifetime Achievement Award and finally the President's Merit Award.

The Chamber has put in place a grassroots nomination process that does not allow for self-nominations. All nominations come from businesses and individuals in the community that feel the nominee needs to be recognized. The Chamber Awards are open to chamber and non-chamber members.

After the nomination deadline, all submissions our handed over to an esteemed panel of judges comprised of diverse business leaders from the community. They then narrow the nominations to three finalists and then finally a vote to determine the winner for each award category.

The recipient is kept under lock and key until all winners are announced. Public can join the Chamber Team to celebrate the winners and their achievements as they are awarded at the annual Chamber Awards Gala dinner scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 24, 2024, at the Florence Filberg Centre. Tickets to be released later this fall.
